A Day Out at the Seaside

Three gentlemen, dressed in their finest for what looks like a day trip to the seaside. We know very little about this photograph, and we’d love your help placing the men, the date, and the occasion.

UPDATE MARCH 2026

Update: The community has offered a couple of leads. The third gentleman from the left has been identified as Mr Marlow, who lived in the terrace cottages just inside what is now Oaks Drive, opposite the row of former council bungalows.

The name Les Barlow was also suggested in connection with the photograph, though it isn’t yet confirmed which of the three men this refers to.
